Zabinski Villa

 Zabinski Villa – the house located in Warsaw zoo where Jan Zabinski and his wife Antonina rescued around 300 Jews during World War II. The exposition contains a large collection of well-preserved books, photographs, family memorabilia etc. Besides the ground floor, you can see a basements where the Jews were hidden. There is also a room dedicated to the famous artist Magdalena Gross. Another room was adapted for broadcasting films about everyday live in pre-war Warsaw. Based on that story in 2017 Niki Caro shot a movie “The Zookeeper’s Wife”.
